About the studio

One person.
Start to finish.

I’m Craig. Raised in Canada, shaped by five years in Spain, and now proudly rooted on the northwest coast of Ireland.

I launched my first website back in 1996. Since then, I’ve run digital news outlets, built my own media company, and spent over a decade designing clean, modern web platforms for clients near and far. I’m also an award-winning photographer with a a focus on wildlife and culture.

Fathom North Studio exists to deliver a high-tier full branding, web presence and backend technology. You work directly with me, from the first sketch over coffee to ongoing support long after launch.

Why
Fathom North?

A fathom is how sailors measured the depth of the water. It also means to understand something fully. That’s the job: getting to the bottom of what your business needs before designing anything.

The mark brings it together: a compass needle aligned north above an Atlantic wave. Two coasts, one ocean, connecting where I started in Canada to where I build today in Ireland.

Coffee’s
on me.

If you’re anywhere between Sligo and Letterkenny, the first chat can be in person. Anywhere else, we’ll do it by video call.
